The word perfume comes from the Latin word per fume which means “through smoke”. People have used scents, oils and unguents on their bodies from thousands of years. The early Egyptians used perfume for fragrance and they used rose and peppermint in the production of perfumed. They also developed perfumes, toilette spray, skin lotions and body spray for the use of body and skin. The 19th century was the first era of elegant and real perfumes in the world.France is called a house of fragrance and flowers in the whole world. Perfumes of the modern era are made from 78 to 95 percent ethyl alcohol and the remainder of the essential oils.
There are some major categories of perfumes such as floral, oriental, chypre, green marine, fruity and floriental fragrances. There are many plants, flowers, natural oils and honey with the bit of woody fragrances.
Animal products are also used in perfumes including musk from the male deer, ambergris from whales. Products and perfumes that develop the feel of skin and smell of the body are highly treasured in every nation and culture.
